Ar Rahman Memorial Trust is registered charitable trust and aims to uplift under privileged people who are not able to help themselves, Our focus areas are education, health, food, spiritual well being and other charitable purposes. Envisioned in the 1990’s by Mr R Syed Shabeer, s/o O Syed Rahman, this trust is his initative to establish an outreach program for the masses by penetrating the village, rural and underdeveloped areas of India. He started this initiative by buying parcels of land in a small town called Kanji in Tamil Nadu with a mindset to develop them for the benefit of the locals there. He started this by establishing and building a Mosque on one such parcel as he realized that there was no Mosque at all, then for the Muslim populace in the village. Furthermore, he has successfully maintained the mosque for over 30 years. In addition to this mosque land, he bought 2 more parcels with the intention to develop the same for further charitable causes such as education and medical facilities. He has since involved his family and friends in the further development of these projects, that will continue to be helmed by him.
